Welcome to the Carter Lake Police Department

Carter Lake, Iowa is uniquely located on the West side of the Missouri River immediately north of downtown Omaha, Nebraska. It is a city surrounded on three sides by Omaha and its fourth boundary is the Missouri River. Our lake is approximately 323 acres with the city being approximately 2.0 square miles. Carter lake was separated from Iowa by a series of river changes after the city was first settled.
