Our Mission
The Carter Lake Police Department is a values driven organization that is committed to excellence. It is the mission of the Carter Lake Police Department to foster cooperation and partnership with the community to enhance the quality of life in Carter Lake by using creative and effective strategies that involve all available resources in our problem solving efforts.  

Our Vision
It is the vision of our department to create an environment where citizens feel safe in their community and have complete confidence in their police department while providing personal and professional growth for our employees.  

Our Values
We believe that enforcement is not effective without prevention and education.We treat everyone fairly, both internally and externally. We believe that our personal feelings vanish when we put our uniform on.We speak truthfully and directly to everyone we deal with. We do not abuse our employees or the public.We build a united team with customer service as the ultimate goal. We develop and maintain a competent, well-trained team.We continually look for ways to improve the services we provide.We listen, and respond to legitimate concerns of the community. We will not betray the trust placed in us, nor abuse our authority. We adapt and conform to changes in the community. Everything we do is in furtherance of our mission.
