Salvage Vehicle Appointment
The Carter Lake Police Department performs Salvage Theft Examinations on Wednesdays ONLY between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. The last appointment will be at 10:45 am.
You will be charged $50, credit card only, for each vehicle inspected. After you have obtained the appropriate salvage title needed per Iowa law, have all your receipts gathered and the vehicle is repaired to fix all defects (except body markings, trim, paint and airbag replacement per Iowa Code and Administrative rule) you will need to go to the following link to complete the necessary information and to make payment;

Be sure that you have completed the "Affidavit of Salvage Vehicle Repairs Form No. 411071" before you have arrived for your appointment.
